With over 20 years of dedicated service to the community, Melissa brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational foundation to her work in the insurance sector. She holds an Associate’s degree in Human Services, a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Economics, and a Master’s in Labor and Policy. Her professional journey includes significant contributions to various community boards and committees, including the Home Care Association, the Long-Term Care Council, an Advisory Committees for Training and Employment Resource Center for the Seneca Nation, as well as an Age Friendly County Committee.
She has five years with an anti-poverty organization. This provided invaluable insights into the challenges faced by underserved populations. Additionally, she spent eight years working in navigating Long-term care insurance within New York State and guiding community members through the complexities of the insurance world. She has assisted hundreds of elderly and disabled community members and their families through navigating essential services within their community.
Additionally, she spent a year crafting Individualized Trade Act plans for the working class, enhancing and highlighting her skills in policy development and strategic planning. Her commitment to education and mentoring is reflected in her five years as an adjunct instructor at the collegiate level, where she shared her knowledge and experience with future professionals.
She brings strong management and supervisory experience in any role she is in, striving to make a positive impact in the lives of those she serves. She is passionate about leveraging her skills to enhance access to insurance services specifically, but any resource available in the community to support all to live comfortably with their needs being met.
